Cold-rolled full-hard steel can also be sent through a galvanizing line where the steel is cleaned, annealed, coated with zinc, and finally tempered. Some of our galvanizing lines are also equipped with leveling for shape corrections, additional coatings or an annealing section to make galvanneal.
All of these steps occur in one uninterrupted process with the steel traveling through each station in a single pass until it’s finally recoiled.
Galvanized steel is used in such applications as HVAC units; appliances; tractor-trailers; decking; agricultural applications and other outdoor applications requiring superior corrosion and rust resistance.
